What is Hip Arthrosis?
Hip arthrosis, also known as coxarthrosis, is also a degenerative condition of the hip joint caused by prolonged wear and tear.
In this condition, osteophytes (or bone protrusions) grow in hip bone tissue. These cause severe pain in the hips during exertion. At later stages, this pain may also occur when you are at rest.
This condition is common in 90% of the population over 70 years.
